Bursting with action and excitement, The Lost Colony is the exciting musical re-telling of America’s first English colony. Nestled along the shores of America’s most historic and mysterious island, over 100 professional actors, technicians and designers have gathered every summer since 1937 to honor the memory of the brave people who came here to build a new country. The production is as epic as their story. Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paul Green, The Lost Colony is a cultural treasure and the best family entertainment on the Outer Banks!

I have seen this production at least once in each decade since the 60's . This latest attempt is poorly conceived and poorly executed. Instead of a outdoor drama of which it is known, respected, and … Full review by Marcus G

We were at the show last week on a Monday night. The show ended at around 1030. We didn't have any trouble getting out of the parking lot. It's a big lot, so there wasn't a long line or anything. It took longer to get out of the theater than the parking lot. Everyone leaves at the same time and the theater is a good 150 feet or so from the edge of the parking lot. I believe it's a good one hour drive or more to get back down to the ferry. I believe you would make it, but you wouldn't have a lot of time to spare.

Allison, great question! Each seat offers a unique perspective on our production. If you sit on the left side you will be closer to the Native American stage. If you sit farther right you will be closer to the Queen's stage. If you sit farther back you will have a gorgeous view of the sound, however, sitting up close gets you tuned in with the action onstage. Hope this helped!
Q:
Wife has trouble walking for long distance. Is there any way that she can get to the drama other than walk?
A:
We have a club car that can get you to the front gate. We also have wheelchairs for your convenience. Hope this helps!
Q:
Are dogs allowed?
A:
Not sure. Might be best to look that up on the internet.
