The Finale' has broken the UK ratings for a scripted show for the BBC after the Christmas Day special with James Corden and Ruth Jones

The finale of the sitcom, which aired on Christmas Day, is nearing 20 million views, the most for a scripted show since current records began.

Proving to be well worth the wait for its legion of fans, the network’s newly released ratings figures have revealed the series broke its 2019 record, picking up almost one million extra viewers since the last episode was released.
