India ended Day 2 with a massive lead of 310 runs, as the bowling department, led by talisman Jasprit Bumrah ran through the defnces of the Bangladeshi batters, as the visitors had no reply to the wrath of Indian bowlers.

Bangladesh pace bowler Hasan Mahmud picked up his second five-wicket haul in a row as India was bowled out for 376 runs in its first innings on Day 2 of the first cricket test.

Bangladesh were alive in the game and fighting when off-spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz troubled the Indian batters with a five-wicket haul while defending a target of just 145 runs. In his five-for, Miraz dismissed Pujara, Gill, Kohli, Pant and Axar and had India reeling at 74/7. But, his effort went in vain as Iyer and Ashwin took India home.
