Lance Leipold and his Kansas football team have fallen short of expectations this season. But his Jayhawks played “spoiler” in a big way against Iowa State. Leipold coached Kansas to a stunning 45-36 shootout victory over a Cyclones team that entered 7-1.

“The one thing this team hasn’t done is waver,” quarterback Jalon Daniels said. “I feel like we haven’t stopped going about things the way that we go about them, and I feel like that allowed (us) to be able to keep pushing, no matter what happened. We’re going to keep on pushing as a team.”

Devin Neal rushed for a 13-yard touchdown that gave the Kansas Jayhawks a 14-7 lead over the Iowa State Cyclones.
