Could Winter Storm Blair surpass some of Lexington’s record snowfalls for one day? Here’s a look back at the data. Lexington’s most recent “snowiest day” was nearly a decade ago in February 2015, when the city saw 10.2 inches of snow, according to NWS data. It was one of the worst winter storms in two decades.

“Keep your generators in places 10-15 feet away from windows, doors, things of that nature. Make sure the generator is outside, do not run them inside. Most generators have codes, regulations, and instructions on them so be mindful of those and pay attention to those,” said Richard Harris, a district chief of Lexington F.D.
