Starbucks strike expands to 300 stores, including some Upstate NY locations
Starbucks Workers United, the union representing more than 10,000 Starbucks baristas at 535 company-owned U.S. coffee shops, began a five-day strike Friday in Los Angeles, Chicago and Seattle. The work stoppage expanded to 60 stores Monday and is now affecting more than 300 stores as of Tuesday morning, according to The Washington Post.
