Claudio Ranieri has been appointed as the new head coach of Roma. The Athletic reported earlier this week that Ranieri was in talks to take over at the Serie A side, having previously announced his retirement from coaching after steering Cagliari to safety at the end of last season.

Claudio Ranieri’s first day back at Trigoria saw the veteran technician meet the team at his disposal for the remainder of the season. Ranieri officially begun his third adventure at Roma earlier today, introducing his technical staff composed of his trusted assistant Benetti, his collaborator Spalla and the athletic trainers Spignoli and Catalano.
