Devender Yadav, Delhi Congress President and candidate from the Badli assembly constituency has responded to allegations made by BJP's New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma, accusing the opposition of misusing government machinery during the Delhi Assembly elections.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi received a jolt a few days before the conduct of the assembly elections in the national capital. Four leaders, including two municipal councillors from AAP, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday.

Congress, meanwhile, has fielded candidates such as Ariba Khan, daughter of former MLA Asif Mohammad Khan, and Alka Lamba, a well-known leader. Others include Aruna Kumari, Ariba Khan, Sushma Yadav, Harbani Kaur and Pushpa Singh.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on Congress stating the grand old party is fighting the Delhi election with BJP to defeat the Aam Aadmi Party.
