Michelle Obama has been urged by Kid Rock to change her mind about not attending Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.

“President Trump’s invitation for dinner included bringing a couple of friends. Asked why I invited Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, I joked, ‘Because Jesus was booked,’” Palin wrote in a post on her website after the visit, per The New York Times.

Michelle Obama has not been seen publicly in the company of her husband, former president Barack Obama, since both spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August. At the event, she attacked the Republican nominee’s “ugly, misogynistic, racist lies” went down a storm.
