Bird flu suspected after dozens of Massachusetts geese found dead
BOSTON – Health officials believe dozens of geese, swans, and other birds in Plymouth, Massachusetts died from Avian Influenza (H5N1), also known as bird flu. The recent outbreak at Billington Sea, a large inland lake in Plymouth, has killed about 60 birds so far.
Two geese test positive for bird flu in Norfolk
Two geese in Norfolk have tested positive for bird flu. According to Norfolk Massachusetts Animal Control and Shelter, last Tuesday two geese were found in not great condition. One was found at River’s Edge and the other on Highland Lake.
