James Madison University only needed two quarters of its game against North Carolina to make history, as the Dukes entered the second half of their Week 4 matchup against the Tar Heels up 53-21.

What the AP story – or any other dispatch from any other reporter covering the game – didn’t contain was a comment from any UNC player. That’s because North Carolina refused to let the assembled media talk to players after this home loss.

James Madison entered 2-0; North Carolina was 3-0. Quarterback Alonza Barrett III threw three TD passes in the first half. He also rushed for two scores. JMU had two receivers over the 100-yard mark in the first 30 minutes.
