Amazon India is moving its headquarters from the World Trade Centre in the northwest part of Bengaluru to a location close to the city’s airport in a bid to cut costs, according to a report in business daily Mint.

Amazon India is relocating its corporate headquarters in Bengaluru from the World Trade Centre (WTC) to a new office 20 km away, near the airport. The move, set to begin in April 2025 and conclude by April 2026, is part of the e-commerce giant's cost-cutting measures, according to a Mint report.

Amazon India's new corporate headquarters is located on the outskirts of Bengaluru, which is expected to cost Amazon India almost a third of the Rs 250 sq ft. rent that the company is currently paying, said two officials cited by Mint.

According to two company executives, Amazon's new office in Sattva, a 15-minute drive from the airport on the city's outskirts, is expected to cost less than a third of the nearly ₹250 per sq. ft. of rent the company currently pays.
