Liverpool are reportedly interested in a former Manchester City striker as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez. Back in the summer of 2022, Uruguayan striker Nunez completed a move from Benfica to Liverpool in a deal worth a reported initial fee of £64 million, which could eventually rise to a club record £85 million.

The former is in line to be sold this summer after struggling to live up to his £85million billing and failing to nail down a regular starting spot under Arne Slot. Meanwhile the latter is into the final six months of his contract, and Real Madrid are hoping to bring him to the Bernabeu later this year.
