India finished top of Group A after beating Sri Lanka in a top-of-the-table clash on Thursday, while West Indies secured their spot in the Super Six stage of the Women's Under-19 T20 World Cup 2025 by knocking out Malaysia.

India topped Group A of the ICC Women's U19 World Cup 2025 with a win against Sri Lanka, even as West Indies secured there spot in the Super Six stage.

In the last game of the group stage India restricted Sri Lanka to 58 for nine, prevailing by 60 runs and making it three wins from three in emphatic fashion. Earlier on, the West Indies became the 12th and final team to book a Super 6 slot by beating hosts Malaysia.

Sri Lanka were eventually restricted to 58 for nine in 20 overs as India finished the group engagements with all-win record in three matches.

India and Sri Lanka showcased their prowess at the ICC Women's U19 T20 World Cup 2025 with standout victories. India overtook Sri Lanka on the points table with a superior net run rate, while Sri Lanka set a new tournament record in their commanding win over the West Indies.

Indian cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs. This was their third straight win and have now T20 World Cup's Super 6 stage.

India will face off against Sri Lanka in the 24th match of the ICC Under 19 Women's T20 World Cup 2025. Both teams, positioned in Group A, have played two matches each and have won both of the contests.
