Vin Diesel is returning the Fast & Furious franchise to where it all started: Los Angeles. The actor took to social media to share a conversation with co-star Jordana Brewster about filming the rest of Fast X: Part 2 in LA to bring back production to the city following the devastating wildfires.

Vin Diesel took to Instagram on Thursday to share that Fast & Furious will "finally return home" to Los Angeles to complete the eleventh and possibly final film, Fast X: Part 2, to support the city amid the devasting wildfires.

In response to the Los Angeles wildfires, Vin Diesel reveals that "Fast X: Part 2" will finish filming in the California city.

Part 2” will finish shooting in Los Angeles, the city that provided the setting for the first film in the long-running franchise, as a way to bolster a local economy that’s been hit hard by devastating wildfires.

If the original plan for Fast X’s continuation had held, we’d be talking about how the Torretto crime family would be making a grand return on the 2025 movie schedule. Alas, what we know about Fast and Furious 11 informs us that delays and the magnetic draw of releasing this potentially final chapter led to an undetermined 2026 debut.
